Do you have a passion for helping people, improving the environment and improving the lives of Derby’ residents and communities?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated and capable Environmental Health Officer to join our Environmental Protection Team. You will be able to work effectively on your own, as a member of a team and without close supervision.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of Environmental Protection interventions, including the investigation and enforcement of nuisance, enviro-crime and public health service requests; the proactive response to licencing, and planning consultations; contaminated land enquiries and helping take forward Derby’s air quality action plan.
Experience of critically appraising and reviewing reports for planning applications and for the discharge of planning conditions would be of benefit.
