The OpportunityIn the role of Team Leader Assets & Policy, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
• Lead, motivate, mentor & manage a team of Structural, Drainage & Flood Risk Management Engineering staff, consultant support and trainees.• Develop and implement effective asset management procedures and policies. • Develop and deliver asset management functions in relation to Engineering highways and Drainage assets, such as culverts, bridges, retaining walls, water courses, flood gates etc. • Mange the overall service and programme budgets and the administration, supervision and financial control of contracts.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have...
• Experience of leading a motivated and efficient team.• Recent experience in relevant highways asset management, contributing to the development of an asset management plan and awareness and ability to implement asset management principals.• Knowledge of legislation relevant to Structures, Drainage, CDM and Health & Safety.• Experience of contract procurement process and contract strategies.• Qualified to Degree or equivalent in Civil, Structural Engineering or other appropriate discipline or substantial experience in an appropriate discipline.
