Transition2 is a college for young adults with Severe Learning Difficulties, Learning Disabilities and/or Autism. At the forefront of educational changes in the 19-25 SEND sector, Transition2 (T2) is committed to improving transition outcomes for learners within their own locality, supporting them to move onto meaningful opportunities in adult life at a pace commensurate with their level of understanding and support needs.
T2 is looking to recruit a bank of qualified and experienced Learning Assistants to offer supply cover to further support our provision. The post holder will be required to support learners' educational progress, offering opportunities for development across a range of functional, practical and vocational skills relating to the learners' individualised targets. He/she will also support the learners' social and emotional development as young adults, encouraging individuals to remain healthy and safe on their journey towards sustainable personalised life outcomes.
We require applicants to be comfortable and assured whilst supporting young adults with complex needs and/or behaviours in college and community settings. We wish to emphasise the practical nature of this role and invite applications from those who are happy to support learners with a range of activities such as cooking, swimming, gardening and/or walking.
