The aim of the Youth Justice Service is to prevent offending and re offending by Children and Young People. The Service will achieve this by ensuring that agencies work together to prevent and reduce the situations and behaviours that lead to offending and therefore reduce the emotional, physical and economic harm to individuals, families, communities and the City as a whole.
Youth Justice Service Social Worker Role
To prevent offending by children and young people.To provide a service to children and young people, and their families the Courts, Police and other institutions, other agencies and the local community which aims to reduce offending by children and young people, working within the framework of the Crime and Disorder Act 1999 and effective practice.
As some evening and weekend work is a requirement of the role, a commitment to flexible working will be necessary.
