Derby LIVE are searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Events Technician to join the Event Services team at Derby Arena and across our wider event programme for some of the most exciting events in the region!
You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality event services, working on everything from concerts and exhibitions to sporting events and conferences.

The Opportunity
In the role of Events Technician, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
• Set up, operate, and dismantle audio-visual, lighting, staging, and rigging equipment.• Carry out technical rehearsals and event runs, ensuring all systems operate smoothly.• Provide on-site technical support during events, responding quickly to any issues.• Collaborate with event managers, performers, and venue staff to ensure seamless service delivery.• Maintain event services equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs.• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have…
• Proven experience in live event technical support, ideally across a minimum of two specialisms; audio, video, lighting, rigging or staging.• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.• A strong team player with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.• Physically fit and able to handle equipment safely.• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some long shifts.• Full UK driving licence.• Relevant technical qualifications are a plus, but not essential.
