Home First Mobile Care Support Worker
Job description
Directorate: People Services
Hours: 25 hours – working 4 days on /4 days off on rolling rotation of one working week afternoon shifts and two working weeks morning shifts.
OR
25 hours – working 4 days on/4 days off on rolling rotation of afternoon shifts only.

If the answer is yes, come and join our friendly team. We have a number of opportunities for mobile Care Support Workers to work within our dedicated team.
Home First work closely with our NHS colleagues and responsive to the needs of our customers by supporting the prevention of hospital admission and facilitating hospital discharge. We maximise customers independence to enable to live in their own homes, or by supporting their short term stay in our integrated Assessment Hub at Perth House, Derby by:-
• helping build customers confidence in their day-to-day activity.
• showing customers how to do things differently yet achieve the same goal.
• support with personal care
• support with dressing/undressing
• meal preparation support
• assistance with taking medication.
We can capture the tasks that you will undertake, but you need to be a special person to meet the emotions and understand people, lend an ear to listen, empathise or just simply taking the time to talk to someone and be part of their day.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a positive approach, have a keen willingness to learn, be self-motivated and enjoy working in a short term, rapid response setting. Ideally you will possess a Level 2 in Health and Social Care and have experience in the care field. However, if you only have informal care experience, but looking for a change in career and share our passion to make a difference – we will provide excellent support and a training package whilst you work – we most definitely want to hear from you.

Our working shift times are :
7.30am to 2.45pm and 2.30pm to 10.00pm.
We have two different contracts available, they are :
• 25 hours – working 4 days on /4 days off on rolling rotation of one working week afternoon shifts and two working weeks morning shifts.
OR
• 25 hours – working 4 days on/4 days off on rolling rotation of afternoon shifts only.
You must have a car or motorcycle available for business use for these positions and hold a full UK driving licence.
