The Opportunity
In the role of Social Worker, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
We are currently seeking a permanent full time Social Worker post in the Fieldwork Team at the Integrated Disabled Childrens service. The service supports children and families where there is a child with a moderate to severe Learning Disability. In the Fieldwork Team you will undertake work with children and families at Child In Need, Child Protection and Care Proceedings and support Looked After Children. You will also be required to write section 7 reports for private proceedings and undertake permanency work including Adoption. You will also complete assessments and court applications when applying the Mental Capacity Act where there is a Deprivation of Liberty.
You will be part of an established and supportive team with an experienced Senior Practitioner, have access to regular supervision, peer support and continuing professional development opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have…
DipSW, SW Degree or Masters and Registration with Social Work England
Up to date statutory case work including work with children subject to care proceedings/Court Work
Experience of holding a caseload of complex safeguarding work and Looked After Children work
Produce clear, thorough reports which meet departmental requirements for a range of purposes
Have excellent interpersonal skillsHave a strong Team Ethos
