This new post of Senior Welfare Rights Officer will manage and support staff members of the welfare rights team who are employed in projects or in specialist roles within Derby Advice.
You will have a role in managing a specialist welfare rights project funded by Macmillan cancer care and the D2N2 ‘money sorted’ project funded by Big Lottery. In addition, you will be involved in managing team members who have specific roles in mental health and in a community setting.
Our ideal candidate would be someone who wants to help vulnerable people and is committed to achieving high quality advice. Experience of giving welfare rights advice is essential, as is experience of maintaining case management systems and meeting targets. Experience of managing staff/teams is desirable.
