Are you an experienced programme/ contract manager with a proven track record in delivering outcomes and achieving contractual targets within budget and timescale?
If so, Derby City Council has an exciting opportunity for you to deliver some real change in our city, managing the delivery of our Youth Guarantee Trailblazer, supporting 18-21-year-olds to access apprenticeships, training and employment. This is one of eight national pilot initiatives to test approaches to reducing youth unemployment.
You will work collaboratively with a range stakeholders, public, private and third sector, to develop the project, ensure engagement, create opportunities and manage delivery, including sub-contractor delivery.

The role will work closely with education providers, DWP and DCC youth related services to develop effective referral pathways whilst simultaneously working with businesses and business engagement teams, to create inclusive opportunities for progression. You will be responsible for overall contract management, ensuring quality of delivery, adherence to funding requirements and project impact, with the intention of securing future funding.
This role sits within a fast-paced Employment and Skills Team and is a new and evolving role therefore flexibility and adaptability is key.
